In my snail mail today, I received a renewal notice for my Brides Chicago Wedding Magazine ad along with a copy of the magazine. And I thank Lauren Topel for the reminder that she always sends both to my home and the Bridal Mansion of Lisle.
My usual habit is to look through and see if there are any vendors that I might need to learn more about, look at the wedding gowns that have any new styling that I don't have in the store and then to look at the real wedding section to see if any of my brides weddings are pictured. I want to make sure I post them on our web page with their wedding pictures.
I also look closely at the pictures, flowers, and venues to give me more ideas on what ideas I like, how well the pictures are taken, and how the venues beautiful setting are displayed. To me it's the portfolio for each vendor doing that wedding.
For brides-to-be this is an excellent way to view vendors portfolio in real life. A great way to get the feel for the venue and if the wedding is planned by a wedding planner their ideas and expertise are right there on display.
*** My wedding tip today is: get a local wedding magazine and look through the real wedding sections. It'll give you great ideas but better than that it will give real life portfolio's of weddings, vendors and venues.
Wedding Wishes,
Janee
