We received hundreds of amazing entries from college students, seamstresses, and newbie designers. Our editors narrowed the selection to a pool of semi-finalists, and now it's your turn to choose a favorite! Voting starts today, your chance to select the top finalists who'll be coming to New York to take part in a fashion show—and possibly go home with 1st prize—$10,000 and their dress on the cover of BRIDES! Just picked up the June/July issue of Modern Bride and on page 38 is their Modern Bride of the year Contest.  The contest runs from today April 21st and ends at 9AM on June 23rd.  I looked on the website but they don't have it listed as of yet.  Check it out!

In Operation Dream Dress, which we're announcing in our March/April issue, we're inviting fashionistas, newbie designers and anyone else who's handy with a needle and thread to design and create the most beautiful wedding dress of 2009. The overall theme is "visionary romance, " which you can interpret as you like: long or short, poufy or sleek, lacy or simple. The payoff? Your dress could appear on the cover of BRIDES and you could win $10,000!

Have you been watching all those bridal reality shows and wondering how you could be on one? Well here's your chance!

TLC's popular show, Say Yes to the Dress is casting brides for their upcoming season. If you're still searching for your dream wedding dress, can easily get to Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan and have excited family members, friends and even a fiance who are interested in taking part in your search, send a brief bio of yourself and a photo of you and your fiance to syttdcasting@gmail.com.

Brides-to-be selected will be filmed while you are shopping for your dress. Kleinfeld Bridal is the ONLY bridal salon featured in the show, and their dresses start at $1500.
